Bhrigu Lake, also known as ‘Pool of the Gods’, is a picturesque water body that attracts countless visitors every year. Situated at an altitude of about 4240 m from sea level, this lake is flanked by towering snow-covered mountains from all sides. There are many beliefs and legends associated with the lake that adds a religious significance to it. According to a popular belief, Rishi Bhrigu, a renowned sage of the Hindu religion, meditated at this site. Also, many gods of the Kullu Valley took dips in its holy waters. This lake is thus considered sacred by the Hindus and many devotees flock this site. What adds more to its beauty is the Nehru Kund- a natural spring, which is fed by the waters of Bhrigu Lake.
